No Library Left Behind: Cross-Border Resource Sharing

The name of the conference series originates from 1988 when the first ILDS conference was held in London. It was organized by the IFLA Office for UAP (Universal Availability of Publications) and International Interlending. This office was dissolved in 2003 and after that ILDS conferences were organized by IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Section. Latest conferences have been in Canberra, Australia (2003), Tallinn, Estonia (2005), Singapore (2007), Hannover, Germany (2009), Chicago (2011), Beijing (2013) and Istanbul (2015). The section is responsible for the contents and programme of the conference and local organiser takes care of the venue and social programme.
